The first born child of TAE's youngest son, William Colville Emmet (11) and his wife Laura Coster, Thomas Addis Emmet (41) was born in New York,  lived there his entire life and died in his house at 109 East 29th Street on July 24th, 1895.  Unmarried, he was listed as a tobacco manufacturer in the 1880 census - the fifth person to carry his grandfather's name.  His funeral at the Calvery Church on 21st Street and 4th Avenue was noted by the press for its simplicity: a plain black cloth covered the casket, with only one floral piece, there were no ushers or pall bearers, and only three coaches followed the hearse to the train for burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery.  Emmet's five brothers and their wives were in attendance, as well as various cousins and "several prominent in Irish national affairs."
